SKILLED LABOURERS

Job Description

As a labourer you will be supporting our construction projects on the ground. This will involve preparing worksites, moving materials, using hand and power tools, and supporting the project's site supervisor however you can. The more skilled you are, the more challenging your work will be and the more likely it is you will take the lead. In all cases, we will train and coach you to become more skilled with time. The right mix of character, experience and teachability is what will make you the right fit.

This is a full-time position, with a starting hourly rate of $27-$35/hour, commensurate with ability and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in civil, landscape, utilities, or infrastructure construction.
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools (shovels, chainsaws, cut off saws, jackhammers, etc.).
  • Experience working with concrete, sewer, interlock, or retaining walls.
  • Experience operating a skidsteer.
  • Experience operating an excavator is an asset.
  • Experience working with and around heavy equipment.
  • Able to perform basic layout and surveying.
  • Verbal communication skills, and experience working in a team.
  • Previous health and safety and/or first aid training is an asset.
  • Physically fit.
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to provide a driver’s license and abstract prior to interview.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Description

As a heavy equipment operator, you’ll be spending most of your time working with a variety of heavy machinery, primarily excavators but also including bulldozers, loaders, skidsteers and rollers, while making sure that the machines are in good working order. There will be many different tasks from day to day, so we need someone who’s competent and willing to learn new skills. We also want someone who can work independently and can take initiative when there are unexpected challenges.

This is a full-time position, with a starting hourly rate of $29-$38/hour, commensurate with ability and experience.

SUPERVISOR

Job Description

As a supervisor, you are the expert and leader of the crew, the resources, the production, and ultimately, the success of the project. There will be many different tasks from day to day, so we need someone with a broad skill set. We do projects all over Ontario and beyond, so a willingness to travel (with a travel allowance of course) is a big asset. We offer exceptional pay and great hours, and plenty of opportunity for growth and promotion. Here, is where you find a career!   This is a full-time position, with a starting hourly rate of $34-$43/hour, based on ability and experience. Supervisors also receive an annual bonus based on their project’s profits, a company truck or truck allowance, and a company cell phone.

  • Sound knowledge of aggregates, concrete and asphalt.
  • Experience performing and supervising site servicing.
  • Excellent record of customer service.
  • Strong and varied communication skills.
  • Cultured team building and development skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
